Advantages and Disadvantages of Digital Painting

    2. You can keep your atelier (studio) and hands very clean. You do not worry about smell of paints.
    3. No need for paints, canvases, paintboxes and mixing dishes, etc.
    4. No need for a room space to keep your works. Every things are kept on your PC's disks.
    5. One paint software allows you to try different types of painting, such as oil, water, pastel, etc.
    6. During painting, revision and re-painting are very easy. For example, you can individually paint a close view, an intermediate view and a distant view, which are finally composed.
    7. During painting, you should not wait for paints to dry.
    8. You do not need to worry about aged deterioration of your works.
  • Disadvantages
    1. In case of digital oil painting, you can not heap up paints as a traditional oil painting technique. Digital painting is restricted in a two-dimensional space.
    2. It is very easy to make copies of the works. How to effectively protect copyright is a problem.
    3. When we appreciate a digital painting, it is not necessarily displayed or printed in the coloring intended by the painter due to the difference of the characteristic and setting of each display or printer.
